It is a love story between a man and these birds. The prominent place here is the Chuga Ghar, where the birds visit early morning between 7am and 8 am for feeding. The Sardar Government Museum, Jodhpur

Located in the verdant green lawns of Ummed Bagh, the Sardar Government Museum is a quiet yet popular tourist attraction in Jodhpur. The museum is named after Sardar Singh, a maharaja of Jodhpur, and was constructed under the reign of his son, Maharaja Umed Singh. It was built by Henry Vaughan Lanchester in 1909 and formally opened to public on 17 March 1936. The Museum is divided into four archaeological areas; armoury, arts and crafts show, and historical section. The exhibits history dates back to nearly the sixth century. The museum’s pride is the paintings with different royalties and the Jain Tirthankaras.

Sailing down the Ganges, as it is popularly known, is a leisurely and slow pace trip through the heart of India captures the essence of life along the Ganges. Sacred to Hindus, the Ganges is not just a river but an ancient path that connected cities, its shores are lined with beautiful palaces and sacred temples, historic battlegrounds, and scenic villages, the sight of which deliver a rich immersive experience of India.

You start sailing from Allahabad (It is also called Prayagraj – one of the four places associated with Maha Kumbh that takes place every 12 years) to Varanasi – the oldest living city in the world. DAY 01: DELHI – ALLAHABAD

Report at Delhi Railway Station to board overnight train to Allahabad.

ALLAHABAD : one of the sacred cities of Hinduism & also one of the oldest in India. Formely known as Prayag, in commemoration of a sacrifice by Lord Brahama, Allahabad stands at the confluence of two of India’s holiest rivers, the Ganga & the Yamuna.

The Sangam as the confluence is called, is the venue of many sacred fairs & rituals and attracts thousand of pilgrims throughout the year. Akbar visited Prayag in 1575 & founded a new city by the name of Illahas, which has now become a modern Allahabad. The city was an important cantonment during the British Raj and has now some beautiful remains of colonial architecture.

DAY 02: ALLAHABAD – SITAMADHI – MURDGHAT

Met upon arrival at Allahabad Railway Station and proceed to hotel for breakfast, wash and change. If time permits take a short tour of Anand Bhawan (the birth place of first Prime Minister of India, Late Jawahar Lal Nehru), etc. After the short sightseeing drive to Sitamarhi Ghat approx 70 kms in 01 to 02 hrs.

Set sail upon arrival. Lunch will be served on boat. Sail till 1800 hrs to arrive at Murdghat by covering appox 30 kms and pitch up tents on the river bank for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 03: MURDGHAT – MIRZAPUR

Morning after breakfast start sailing further downstream, eastwards to reach Mirzapur by covering appox 50 kms. If you are lucky you can catch the wind and sail smoothly and can feel the speed also. Lunch will be served on boat around 1200 hrs.

Enroute visit the Hindu temple dedicated to the Goddess Kali who is the guardian of Vindhyachal Mountain Ranges by noon. Sail further towards Mirzapur. Mirzapur is well known for its Hand Woven Cotton, Woolen Carpets and Brass ware.

Arrive and pitchup camp beyond Mizapur on the banks of the river for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 04: MIRZAPUR – VARANASI

Morning after breakfast sail towards Varanasi. Enroute visit Medieval Fort of Chunar, built by legendry King Vikramaditya, appox at 0800 hrs. Now the fort has been converted as training centre for the Uttar Pradesh Police. You are allowed to see only a little portion. On the way to the fort there is a Cemetery of Britishers who had a short spell of power at Chunar.

Sail further towards Varanasi, stopping at Ramnagar to see the Palace Museum with its collection of weapons of different types, Palinquins, Ivory Items, Cars etc. appox at 1200 hrs. Lunch is served on the boat. River trip terminates at the first of the ghats, Lanka Ghat. Met upon arrival and transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 05: VARANASI

VARANASI : Also knwon as Banaras. It is one of the oldest living cities in the world & the ultimate pilgrimage for Hindus who believe that to die in the city is to attain instant salvation. Situation on the banks of the Ganga, Varanasi is the tract of holy land lying between the rivers Varuna & Assi which flow into Ganga. Varanasi is also known as Kashi, the city of light, since on of the twelve “Jyotirlingas” are installed here.

Morning after breakfast proceed to SARNATH . After Lord Buddha attained enlightenment in Bodhgaya he came to Sarnath. Several Buddhist structures were raised at Sarnath between the 3rd century BC & the 11th century AD.

Afternoon visit the famous Banaras Hindu University. One of the oldest educational University in India. Founded by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya as a centre for the study of Indian art, culture, music & also for sanskrit.

Return to the hotel for dinner & overnight stay.

DAY 06: VARANASI

Early morning proceed for the exciting Boat Cruise on the Holy River Ganges to witness the Sunrise. You can see locals as well as pilgrims standing in waist deep water praying to the rising sun and offering flowers and lighting oil lamps.

On the ghats is situated the cremation ground where nearby itself people are engaged in washing cloths, vessels, animals.

Enjoy the cruise and proceed for a short Temple tour covering Kashi Vishwanath temple also known as Golden Temple (Entry is restricted here) one can see the golden domes from the roof of an adjacent building, Bharat Mata temple (which is dedicated to whole of India), Kali Temple (known as Monkey temple because of their presence at all times).

After lunch departure transfer to railway station in time to board the train for Delhi. Overnight in the train.

Day 02 : Haridwar – Barkot (180/06 -7 hrs)

Day 03 : Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot – (36kms drive & 6kms Trek one
side)

Early morning after breakfast, drive to Janki chatti, start trek to Yamunotri 6 kms. You have an option to either walk or hire Pony or by Doli at your own cost.
After taking bath in Surya Kund (hot spring) visit Yamunotri temple “Darshan” and Pooja of pious “Yamunaji” at Divya Shila.

Return for an overnight stay.

Yamunotri Temple – Situated at 3290 meters above ocean level. The Yamunotri Dham is the first hallowed destination of the Chardham Yatra. This Dham is committed to Goddess Yamuna, who regarded be as a daughter of the Sun God, Surya Dev. According to the mythological stories and convictions, the Yamunotri Dham was an isolation of a sage Asti Muni. For the duration of his life, the Asti Muni every day showered in both Ganges and Yamuna. Reach at temple Darshan and perform pooja. Thereafter we drive back to hotel. Night stay.

Gangotri – As per The Hindu mythology, Goddess Ganga – the daughter of Lord Brahma , showed herself as a waterway to acquit the transgressions of King Bhagirath’s forerunners, taking after his extreme retribution of a few centuries, and Lord Shiva got her into his tangled locks to minimize the gigantic effect of her fall. She came to be called Bhagirathi at her incredible source. Along the right back of Bhagirathi stands the sanctum of Gangotri devoted to the Goddess. Day 07: by helicopter Kedarnath

Early morning at 6:30 report to helipad.

After performing pooja and Darshan, fly down. Reach and later you will be transfer to hotel. Night stay.

Kedarnath Temple The 1000 years old temple with a carved exterior is located in a courtyard protected by Nandi bull. This spot has great significance in the legendary Mahabharata epic. Inside the main sanctum is one of the 12 naturally formed ‘Jotrilingas’ of India. The temple has carved shapes of the Pandavas, and Lord Shiva.

Day 08: Guptkashi – Badrinath (250kms/08-9hrs)

After breakfast, check out from hotel and drive to Badrinath. On arrive check – in at hotel. Evening: Visit at Badrinath temple for Aarti ceremony.

There are other interesting sightseeing spot like Mana, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Bhimkund and the “Mukh” of the Saraswati River. Just within the three kms of Badrinathjee. Later drive to Rudraprayag. On arrive check –in at hotel and night stay.

Tapt-Kund – Just beneath the Shree Badrinath Ji temple lies the Tapt Kund hot sulfur spring that has a high therapeutic worth. It is a freshwater pool with the washing region of 16.1/2 feet by 14.1/4 feet. Despite the fact that the typical temperature of the spring is 55°c, the temperature of water continues expanding continuously amid the day. Day 2: Delhi

Leave for sightseeing in Delhi covering its prime attractions. The guided tour cover Laxmi Narayan Temple, India Gate, Parliament House, Jama Masjid, Qutab Minar Complex, Red Fort and Humayun’s Tomb. After the well-spent day return for overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 3: Delhi – Rishikesh

Day – 03 Aurangabad – Ellora Caves – Pithalkora

Breakfast at the Hotel. After Breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Ellora Caves (closed on Tuesday) – The World Heritage site, one of the finest examples of rockcut caves , there are 34 caves, Cave 16 is the most famous and has Lord Shiva sculpted on the rocks-the largest monolith in the world.

After Ellora Caves, further proceed for Pitalkhora Caves:- Pitalkhora Caves are about 78 kms from Aurangabad. The intricate work on the sculptured facades in these caves is definitely worth a visit.

Return back to Hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day – 04 Aurangabad –Mumbai or Delhi

Breakfast at the Hotel. After breakfast proceed to The Daulatabad fortress was an old Hindu stronghold originally called Devgiri Fort.

Emperor Mohammed-bin-Tughlaq captured and plundered it in the 13th century and made it the second capital of the Delhi Sultanate renaming it Daulatabad. It is famous for its series of trick defences, secret escape routes etc.

Bibi-ka-Maqbara, built in memory of Aurangazeb’s wife RabiaDurrani.

Panchakki or Water Mill, an ingenious creation of Mughal engineers who used it to harness water to run large grinding stones which served as a flour mill. The tomb of a muslim saint lies in the garden beyond the building served as a flour mill.

Proceed to airport to catch onward flight.
